The first stage of a project is the design. We identify existing plants and will make recommendations on caring for these. The process starts with an initial consultation: We walk together through your property and discuss your vision for the garden. We offer our suggestions and ideas, talking with you about how we can use the plants you already have and what new elements should be added to create the space you have in mind. The design process can range from a one-hour walk-through of your property to a complete to-scale plan of the area.
Our design philosophy emphasizes a diversity of plants with varying bloom times, so that the colors in your garden are constantly changing, shapes always evolving. We very much like the idea of the edible landscape — fruit trees, berry plants, vegetables, and herbs can all be incorporated into the garden. Our goal is to achieve a garden with four season interest.
